The Texas Fashion Collection team includes staff members, undergraduate and graduate interns, graduate area assistants, and hourly student assistants — as well as a mannequin or two!

Working at the Texas Fashion Collection

As an extension of the educational mission of the University of North Texas, the Texas Fashion Collection offers limited opportunities for internships to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at UNT or other institutions of higher education. For-credit internships offer students opportunities to engage in hands-on, behind-the-scenes activities relating to collection digitization, management, and research, with each internship tailored to the student’s professional development goals.

To learn more about internship opportunities at the TFC, send an email to Annette Becker, director. Include a description of your academic background, what you hope to accomplish during an internship, and your availability for an interview. Internships are considered on a rolling basis, scheduled to follow academic semesters, selected with priority given to UNT students, and available based on TFC staff’s ability to support the student learning opportunities.

While the TFC values its community and appreciates interest in people offering volunteer support for its work, volunteer opportunities are not currently offered. This strategic decision shifts staffing time and resources to internships, offering more robust learning opportunities for students.

When available, employment opportunities at the TFC are posted through the UNT System Career Applicant Portal web page.
