Internships

As an extension of the educational mission of the University of North Texas and the College of Visual Arts and Design, the Texas Fashion Collection offers internships and fellowships for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds. These learning experiences offer students opportunities to engage in hands-on, behind-the-scenes activities relating to collection digitization, management, and research, with each internship and fellowship tailored to the student’s professional development goals.

Currently, the TFC offers four paid internships annually, with two opportunities over the summer, one during the fall semester, and one during the spring semester. Applications for the summer and fall internships are reviewed in March, and applications for the spring semester are reviewed in October.

For information about how to apply for the Onstead Institute–Texas Fashion Collection Internship in Collections Research, please visit the Onstead Institute Internships, Fellowships web page.

Volunteers

While the TFC values its community and appreciates interest in people offering volunteer support for its work, volunteer opportunities currently are not offered. This strategic decision shifts staffing time and resources to internships, offering more robust learning opportunities for students.

Employment

When available, employment opportunities at the TFC are posted through the UNT System Career Applicant Portal web page.
