Current and Upcoming Exhibitions and Events

The Texas Fashion Collection showcases global fashion through events, exhibitions and artifact loans.

While the Texas Fashion Collection's facilities do not include dedicated exhibition space, the TFC does organize exhibitions and regularly facilitates artifact loans to cultural institutions worldwide. Past and current partnerships have resulted in several robust displays relating to design and social history. Dress objects represented range from international cultural dress to French haute couture to American ready-to-wear — and have been organized in traditional museum spaces and unconventional public venues. 

If your institution is interested in borrowing artifacts for an exhibition in a conservationally stable and secure location, please contact Annette Becker, TFC curator and director.

Public Lectures

Sept. 3, 2026, 6 p.m.: Annette Becker, TFC curator and director, will present a public lecture, “Fashioning Women’s Influence in the Kennedy Era,” at the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas. The talk will explore the relationship between fashion and journalism and the influence of former U.S. First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy and Claudia “Lady Bird” Johnson. Tickets: $15. Aug. 29, 2026: To complement Texas Christian University's art exhibition “What’s for Dinner? Conflict & Consumption in American Food Culture,” Annette Becker, TFC curator and director, will deliver a free, public talk focusing on behind-the-scenes stories about the featured TFC artifacts in the exhibition.
